Spring Wedding Trends

This spring there are some fabulous trends for bridal wear and wedding designs.  There are some retro and vintage styles influencing both decor and bridal gowns, along with a new contemporary edge to some classic looks.

In colors, we are seeing a jump in neutral colors, while at the same time pop shades and neons are becoming popular accents.  Dresses are becoming increasingly colored as brides are steering away from the traditional all white look, and everything from center pieces to cakes are matching the color palette.

In wedding decor, there is a draw to the old fashioned romance of yesteryears, with antique furnishings and candelabras, and vintage inspired china and goblets.  However, there is a growing appreciation for the clean lines and chic simplicity of contemporary art as well that is leading to a lovely modern playful feel in decorations and design.

Dresses have found a love for bohemian elegance along with sleek lines of ultramodern fashion.  Lace and textures have stayed strong as both detail pieces and base fabrics, along with silky satins with a classy sheen.

Bouquets have even seen an evolution, whether towards the vintage romanticism or new personalization, they cause a buzz among new brides.  Flowers like pink peonies and white roses are this springs biggest sellers, and one of the most popular trends this season are broaches to add a timeless effect to the classic bouquet.

What's sticking around for spring? Sparkle and Shine

Sprucing up your spring wardrobe?  This spring we are looking to the runways and the red carpet for the newest hot looks.  One trend that's traveling from fall to spring is sparkles and metallic fabrics.  From Loewe and Salvatore Ferragamo flashing on the runways, to Milla Jovovich and Penelope Ann Miller working a more demure look at the Oscars, the life of metallics in your wardrobe just got longer.

Spring Palette

We've got a some great color trends coming up this spring.  From retro inspirations to natural hues, pastels and bold shades are in season.  We found three main trends to create our palettes: Deco Vintage, Ocean Paradise, and Genteel Beauty.

Deco vintage takes cues from the twenties and forties styles that have been filling the runways this season.  There are muted pastels and natural tones accented by a few pop colors popular in retro fashion.

The Vintage trend takes a lot of inspiration from a sort of fashion nostalgia.  The bright lights and hollywood glamour of the past give new life to our memories and brings a new fun and fancy to our everyday events.

The ocean paradise trend is inspired by the movement and life found in the reefs and beaches around the world.  In this palette the warm and cool colors of the ocean compliment each other, and a few neutrals add a calming tone.

It draws on our desire to escape the everyday and find our own paradise, maybe in a new pair of shoes, or maybe on an island in the Caribbean.  It gives a chance to live far away and feel like we can swim in a sea of fun and fashion.

Lastly there is the overarching trend of genteel beauty.  Flowing fabrics and laces grace the runways along with a color palette of pastel pinks and blues.  Warmer golds accent the grey and black neutrals found in this palette.

This trend is based on the beauty we can see in ourselves.  Whether we are comfortable in a heavy satin or  sheer chiffon, there is a way to feel like a real queen in the world of busy schedules of work and evening events.
